The forecast was for cloudy weather, and clouds can add a lot of drama to an aerial scene. So I drove the van to the airport and slept in it outside the hangar. Then it was pretty easy to get up at 5:30, pull the plane out, fly the 20 minutes in the dark to somewhere above the Sierra Nevada.
And see this.
Then landed in time to hit the Waffle House around 8:00 am.

Im glad these posts are coming back! Now time to do a reveal on the 182 with all the work you have put into it and how you like it compared to the 210!
That’s gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. It’s suitable for framing on our wall in Tahoe City! Earlier this week we saw one of the nicest, longest lenticular clouds over Lake Tahoe. It turned many shades of sunset pink before the show was over. https://www.facebook.com/groups/ilovelaketahoe/permalink/26260248300275198/?mibextid=wwXIfr
