Grand Canyon Mountain Biking (North Rim)

My family had such a good time on our biking trip through Zion and Bryce that we signed up for another trip with Escape Adventures, this time along the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.  The fabulous thing about these trips is that they are van-supported, so you don’t have to worry about carrying camping gear or food.  When you are biking with young kids, its the only way to go.

We got a dawn start from California in the plane and I was nervous because of weather out in the southwest.  By the time we got to St. George, Utah there was a solid overcast and it had started to rain.  But the overcast was high, and we slid into St. George without about an hour to spare before it really started to rain.

We had shipped our bikes ahead (we also had some climbing gear with us, and you can see from the photo there would be no room for bikes), and so we rented a car so we could get the bikes from the Mailboxes, Etc. shop, put them back together, do some shopping and look around St. George.  The next morning we met the group and guides in St. George and from that time on it was biking, eating and sleeping.  A great trip and I recommend Escape Adventures for their biking journeys.
